Your motherhood session begins with our conversation. During your complimentary consultation call, we'll explore how you want to honor this moment in your journey—the anticipation of pregnancy, the tenderness of new parenthood, or the vibrant energy of your growing family. Together, we'll craft a session that feels authentically yours.

Motherhood shoots are for mothers and whoever is on the journey alongside her—whether you're in the conceiving journey, pregnancy, or already surrounded by your little ones. Partners, children, pets, and other loved ones are all welcome participants in these sessions. What's important is creating a portrait of your life at this precious moment in time, as you cross this invisible threshold into the next phase of life. These images honor both where you've been and where you're going.

While clothing choices are entirely personal, many of my clients do embrace the power and beauty of the female form during the motherhood journey. There's something undeniably profound about documenting your body during pregnancy or postpartum—a body that is creating, nurturing, and sustaining life.
Some mothers choose partial or artistic nudity to celebrate their changing form—the curved belly of pregnancy, the nurturing breasts of breastfeeding, or the soft landscape of a postpartum body. These images honor the raw strength and beauty of motherhood in its most authentic state.
That said, nudity is never the focus—connection is. Whether clothed, partially draped, or in a more natural state, what matters most is capturing the intimate bond between you and your loved ones during this transformative chapter.
Your comfort always comes first, and during our consultation, we'll discuss what feels empowering for your unique motherhood portrait.

Your session begins with connection, not just cameras. When you arrive, we'll spend the first 15-20 minutes simply talking and warming up. I'll go over the plan for our time together, discuss the lighting and locations we'll be using, and most importantly, check in with how you're feeling.
This initial conversation is crucial—it's where we set intentions for the space and our creative journey together. I encourage you to share any anxieties or concerns you might have about the shoot during this time. Whether you're nervous about posing, concerned about certain angles, or just feeling vulnerable, voicing these thoughts helps me create a better experience for you.
For sessions involving little ones, rest assured we'll move at their pace completely. As a former nanny, elder-care giver, and having worked with people with developmental disabilities, I bring mountains of patience and an ability to adapt to what's happening in the moment. I understand that children have their own rhythms and moods—sometimes they need snacks, breaks, or just time to warm up. This experience isn't about forcing perfect poses but capturing authentic moments as they naturally unfold.
Remember, while I'll guide you toward creating beautiful, expressive images that may gently push your comfort zone in positive ways, my primary goal is ensuring everyone feels safe, respected, and empowered throughout the entire process. The most stunning images emerge when there's a balance of gentle guidance and natural interaction.
